Description: BMX World Champion Joris Daudet is one of nine French athletes who have been training at the World Cycling Centre (WCC) in Aigle, Switzerland, this week.

The French team is spending five days at the WCC to prepare the fourth and final round of the 2011 UCI BMX Supercross, which will take place in Chula Vista (USA) on September 30th and October 1st.

Joris Daudet, who won the World Championships in Copenhagen (DEN) in July, is leading the Supercross series ahead of New Zealand’s Marc Willers.

Among the other French BMX specialists training with Daudet this week are World Championships finalist Moana Moocaille, 2010 Juniors World Champion Sylvain André as well as two female athletes Magalie Pottier (3rd in the 2011 World Championships and currently lying 2nd in the Supercross series) and Mano Valentino, who is 5th in the Supercross standings going into the final round.

It is the fourth time this year that the French Elite BMX team has travelled to the WCC to train on the centre’s Supercross track and eight-metre high starting ramp: in February and in March they travelled to Aigle to prepare the first round of the Supercross which took place in Pietermaritzburg (RSA) in April. They returned in July to prepare the World Championships.
