Description: With the two remaining legs of the 2010 UCI BMX Supercross looming, an increasing number of athletes specialising in this discipline are training on the World Cycling Centre’s (WCC) BMX track.

After a break of four months, the 2010 Supercross series will continue with the third leg in Chula Vista (USA) on September 17th and 18th. The fourth leg in Fréjus (FRA) will close the season on October 8th and 9th.

Since the end of August and up until the end of September, the WCC’s Supercross track, which includes an eight-metre high starting ramp, is in demand for high level training camps. The centre’s BMX track is an ideal training ground to prepare the UCI BMX Supercross series.

Fifteen athletes from the Italian Cycling Federation arrive at the centre today for a three-day BMX training camp. They were preceded by a group of five Czech and Slovakian athletes (August 20th - 23rd), eight German riders from the Würtembergischer Radsportverband e.V (August 27th - 30th) and eight riders from the French Cycling Federation, including last year’s Supercross champion Laetitia Le Corguillé (August 29th - September 1st). But that is not all!

The WCC will host a further nine elite French athletes on September 16th and 17th followed by five BMX specialists from Cycling Australia (September 30th - October 2nd)
