With the second leg of the UCI BMX Supercross just three weeks away, the Supercross track at the World Cycling Centre (WCC) in Aigle, Switzerland, is in high demand

Once repair work on the WCC track after the winter season was completed, three BMX riders from Team Ireland were the first to take to the dirt during a four-day training camp (April 11th - 14th) at the WCC.

They will be followed over the next three weeks by BMX riders from Germany, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Ecuador, Switzerland, France and Australia. Between April 18th and May 5th, the riders will travel to Aigle for training camps lasting from two to six days. The Latvian National Federation and two Dutch riders will stage two training camps each during this period. All the riders are preparing the Copenhagen (Denmark) leg of the UCI BMX Supercross, which takes place on May 7th and 8th.

Among the athletes at the WCC over the next weeks are Shanaze Reade (GBR) and Caroline Buchanan (AUS), who finished second and third respectively in the first round of the Supercross series in Madrid, Spain, on March 27th.

After the Copenhagen round, the UCI BMX Supercross will continue in Chula Vista (USA) on September 18th and 19th and in Fréjus (FRA) on October 8th and 9th. A fifth leg in Monaco has yet to be confirmed.
