The BMX Club of Sopron is pleased to invite you to attend the 7th and 8th round of the 2006 European Elite & Junior Championship Series of BMX and the 6th and 7th round of the 2006 European Cup of BMX that will be held on the BMX track of Sopron in west-Hungary.

TRACK LOCATION & HOW TO GET THERE

Sopron is in the west of Hungary near Vienna (50 km).

The next airport is Vienna (A)
Distances to Schwechat Airport: 50 km

Travelling from West, A1 direction Linz:

· Leave the Motorway A1 before Vienna to the direction Graz A21

· Follow Graz on way A2 after that Eisenstadt on way A3 and finally follow Sopron

· From South: From the way Graz follow the way A2 to Vienna and 20kms before Vienna follow Eisenstadt on the way A3 after that Sopron

· From North: Through Vienna follow Graz on the way A2 then after Vienna follow Eisenstadt on the way A3 after that Sopron

· In the city we will sign the track with small tables.

REGISTRATION CONTROL

- Friday June 23rd from 05 PM to 08 PM,
- Saturday June 24th from 08 AM to 09 AM

The Team Managers of each country will be responsible for confirmation of the riders and payment of entry fees.

CATERING

During the whole event, several foods and drinks will be offered: Hot meals, salads, bread and cakes, beverages . On Friday our team kindly invite all Team Managers and Assistant for a Dinner to a beautiful Restaurant.

SHOPS

BMX shops will be on place in order to help the riders in the case they need it.

PARKING

A parking area is next to the track.

ACCOMODATION

Camping :
There is an area for Camping close to the BMX track.
Toilets, Showers and Electricity will be available.

Prize for Camping:
Caravan, Motor-Home: € 50,00 for the whole weekend
Tent: € 35,00 for the whole weekend

FIRST AID / EMERGENCY

First aid will be under control of the National Red Cross.
A doctor will be present during all the event.
2 ambulances will be ready on the spot.
As per the UEC rules, the transportation of injured riders from the track to Hospital (Sopron, Győri út) will be free of charge for the riders. Regarding further treatment, You will receive documents to be reimbursed by your own insurance.

Challenge (international race):
Boys Boys 9/ 10, Boys 11/ 12
Girls Girls 9/ 10, Girls 11/ 12

Attention: Boys & Girls 8 Years and under are not allowed to participate at these races as well as the Cruiser 12 Years and under !

European Challenge Cup:
Boys 13/14, Boys 15/16, Men 17-24, Men 25-29, Men 30 and over
Girls 13/14, Girls 15/16, Women 17 and over
Cruiser 13/14, Cruiser 15/16, Cruiser 17/18, Cruiser 19-29, Cruiser 30-39, Cruiser 40 and over

Master Classes (Championship Series):
Junior-Women, Junior-Men
Elite-Women, Elite-Men

NUMBER PLATES

The organiser doesn’t supply number plates. Each rider has to bear his international number.
The national Federations have to ask for international numbers as soon as possible to the European BMX administration. Be careful also with your side-number plates to your bikes!!

RULES

UEC rules are applicable.
Clip pedals are allowed for classes 13 and over.
All riders registered in the Championship classes and the riders registered in the European BMX CUP (13 and over) must wear the national jersey or the two flags of their country on the sleeves of their racing shirt (size: at least 7x6cm).

EUROPEAN BMX CUP

The UEC BMX Commission will run the European BMX Cup again in 2006.
The Cup is open to the riders who will participate in all the classes Challenge 13 and over (20 and 24 inches). The general ranking will calculated on the best 5 results of the 7 possible races.

- 1 race in La Chapelle St. Mesmin (France) April 22nd and 23rd
- 2 races in Reutlingen-Betzingen (Germany) May 13th and 14th
- 2 races in Haaksbergen (the Netherlands) June 3rd and 4th
- 2 races in Sopron (Hungary) June 24th and 25th
