PRE WORLD in Mandeure - race is cancel Autor: Administrator (marek.psenicka@centrum.cz), Téma: News BMX Vydáno dne 06. 07. 2005 (2473 přečtení) PRE WORLD in Mandeure The «Amicale Vélocipédique» club of Beaulieu-Mandeure had applied for the organization of the 2005 BMX Pre-World race. Up to this day, only a hundred sign ups have been received. Thenceforward, we have decided to cancel the race due to this lack of participants. The organizing staff, involved in the setting up for months, had succeeded in convincing the major local and regional political authorities which agreed to fund the operation up to 54 000 euros. The promoting campaign had started and we hoped to welcome a massive crowd. All the facilities necessary for the organization were to be installed (Stands, tribunes...) and the staff had never been so highly motivated. It is with a profound regret that we must take this overwhelming decision that will certainly provide marking consequences to our club and our sport. It would have been impossible to organize such an event and promote this new Olympic sport with such a low number of signed up riders .
